India emerged victorious in the Asia Cup 2025 final, beating Pakistan by five wickets in a thrilling contest at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.

Chasing 172, India stumbled early, losing three wickets in the powerplay. But Tilak Varma anchored the chase with a mature unbeaten 69 off 53 balls, guiding the team home. He was well supported by Sanju Samson (24 off 21) and Shivam Dube (33 off 22, strike rate 150), whose timely knocks helped India recover from the early setback.
Earlier, Pakistan posted 171/8, powered by Babar Azam’s 58 and Iftikhar Ahmed’s 32. For India, Jasprit Bumrah (3/27) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/33) delivered disciplined spells to restrict the total.
With 15 needed off the last two overs, Varma kept his nerve and sealed the victory, earning the Player of the Match award. The win reaffirmed India’s dominance in Asian cricket and provided fans with yet another memorable clash against arch-rivals Pakistan.
