A tragic Hyderabad Bengaluru bus fire accident claimed at least 20 lives early Friday morning. The private sleeper bus was traveling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru when it caught fire near Chinna Tekuru village in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh.

The accident happened around 3:00 AM after the bus reportedly collided with a motorcycle. The bike got stuck under the bus, causing a fuel leak and sparks that triggered a massive blaze. The fire spread rapidly, trapping passengers inside while most were asleep.

District Collector Dr. A. Siri confirmed that 20 bodies were recovered from the burnt bus. She said rescue teams have shifted survivors to Kurnool Government Hospital.

PM Modi Expresses Grief and Announces Financial Help
