Billionaire Elon Musk and Prince Andrew have been named in newly released files connected to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to documents turned over to the U.S. House Oversight Committee.
The files, provided by the Jeffrey Epstein Estate and partially released by Congressional Democrats, reportedly include flight manifests, phone logs, financial ledgers, and daily schedules. These documents shed fresh light on Epstein’s connections with some of the world’s most powerful and wealthy individuals.
Musk’s Alleged Invite to Epstein’s Island
One entry dated December 6, 2014 reads:
“Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?).”
The note appears to suggest that Musk was invited to Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. However, Musk has previously stated that he never visited the island and rejected Epstein’s invitation.
The new files also reference a planned lunch with tech billionaire Peter Thiel in November 2017 and a planned breakfast with former White House advisor Steve Bannon on February 17, 2019.

Prince Andrew on Epstein Flight Manifest
The files also include a flight manifest from May 12, 2000, listing Prince Andrew as a passenger on a flight from Teterboro, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida, alongside Epstein and his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
Maxwell was later convicted in 2021 of conspiring with Epstein to traffic underage girls for sex.
At the time, Buckingham Palace records show that Prince Andrew was in New York on May 11, 2000, attending a reception for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). The Palace website notes he returned to the U.K. on May 15, 2000.
Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and has not been charged with any crimes in relation to Epstein.
Other High-Profile Names in the Files
Alongside Musk and Prince Andrew, the documents also mention several other well-known figures:
- Peter Thiel – Internet entrepreneur and PayPal co-founder.
- Steve Bannon – Former advisor to Donald Trump.
- Bill Gates – Microsoft co-founder, noted in relation to a planned December 2014 breakfast party. Gates previously told the BBC in 2022 that meeting Epstein had been a “mistake.”
Political Divide Over Release of Files
Democrats on the House Oversight Committee emphasized the importance of transparency, arguing that the documents highlight Epstein’s powerful network.
Committee spokesperson Sara Guerrero said:
“It should be clear to every American that Jeffrey Epstein was friends with some of the most powerful and wealthiest men in the world. Every new document produced provides new information as we work to bring justice for the survivors and victims.”
Republicans, however, accused Democrats of politicizing the issue, claiming they were “putting politics over victims.” They pledged to release the full set of documents in the near future.
Epstein’s Criminal History
In 2008, Epstein reached a controversial plea deal after being accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl at his Palm Beach home.
- In July 2019, he was arrested again on federal sex trafficking charges.
- Epstein died by suicide in August 2019 in a New York jail cell while awaiting trial.
His death fueled widespread conspiracy theories due to his high-profile connections.
Key TakeawayThe latest batch of Epstein files adds further names to the already extensive list of powerful figures connected to the disgraced financier. While there is no suggestion of wrongdoing by those mentioned, the revelations underscore Epstein’s vast influence and raise continued questions about the full extent of his network.
The House Oversight Committee is expected to release more files, which could provide additional insight into Epstein’s associations and activities.
