Bigg Boss 19 Stylist Controversy Nears End as Riddhima Sharma Confirms Payment Progress

New Delhi, December 16, 2025:
The ongoing controversy involving Bigg Boss 19 finalist Tanya Mittal and celebrity stylist Riddhima Sharma appears to be moving toward a resolution. Days after publicly accusing the reality show contestant’s team of unpaid dues and unreturned designer outfits, Sharma has now shared an update, confirming that discussions are underway and partial payments have been received.

The dispute surfaced shortly after the Bigg Boss 19 grand finale, when Riddhima Sharma took to social media to speak openly about her professional experience while styling Tanya Mittal during the show. Her claims quickly went viral and triggered widespread discussion about payment practices and respect for behind-the-scenes professionals in the entertainment industry.

What Triggered the Bigg Boss 19 Styling Dispute

Riddhima Sharma alleged that she supplied several premium outfits for Tanya Mittal during her journey on Bigg Boss 19, including sarees and lehengas sourced on an urgent basis. According to the stylist, some of these outfits were extremely expensive, with one lehenga reportedly costing ₹58,000.

However, despite repeated follow-ups, Sharma claimed she struggled to receive her full payment and get the outfits returned after the show ended.

Key Complaints Raised by Riddhima Sharma

In her earlier statements, the stylist highlighted multiple issues that led her to speak out publicly:

  • Pending Payments: Sharma confirmed she eventually received ₹50,000 for one week of styling. However, payments for at least three additional looks were still pending. These included outfits styled for two Weekend Ka Vaar episodes and styling work done for Tanya Mittal’s brother, Amrutesh, during the grand finale.
  • Unreturned Designer Outfits: The stylist stated that nearly 20 outfits, many of them borrowed or sourced from designers, had not been returned even after the show concluded.
  • Lack of Professional Respect: Sharma expressed disappointment over what she described as a lack of appreciation for her efforts. She also mentioned facing online trolling after raising the issue publicly, despite consistently supporting the contestant in media interactions.

Latest Update: Talks Underway, Resolution Expected

In a recent update, Riddhima Sharma confirmed that she is now in direct communication with Tanya Mittal’s management team. According to her, progress has been made, and assurances have been given.

“Tanya’s manager is in touch. I’ve received ₹50,000 so far. Payment for three looks is still pending, along with the return of 20 outfits,” Sharma stated.

She further added that the team has promised to settle the remaining dues and return the outfits soon. At this stage, Sharma says her priority is to close the matter professionally and focus on upcoming projects.

Industry-Wide Conversation Gains Momentum

The controversy has reignited an important conversation within the fashion and entertainment industry about timely payments, accountability, and respect for stylists and creative professionals. Many industry insiders have pointed out that such disputes highlight the lack of formal contracts and safeguards for backstage workers.

While the matter is not fully resolved yet, the acknowledgment of pending payments and unreturned outfits suggests that a settlement may finally be within reach.

For now, both parties appear to be working toward closure, and the situation serves as a reminder of the importance of transparency and professionalism in high-profile collaborations.
